Using the items available in the studio objects, I created moulds to allow the greatest possible tension of the home-made oak arches. The final construction achieves a tension of 90kg. The work refers to Ukrainian practices of grassroots engagement and dissent, and the grassroots weapons that were part of the arsenals of war and insurgency. In its form it resembles an arbalet (a crossbow for throwing projectiles), a wheelbarrow (an anarchist symbol of Ukrainian resistance) or a cart on wheels (the so-called "kravchuk"). on wheels (the so-called "kravchukha", which was an important part of the Ukrainian social landscape in the 1990s).
